Daniel Haase, MD, FCCM, RDMS, RDCS is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Surgery in the University of Maryland School of Medicine at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. He is board certified in both Surgical Critical Care and Critical Care Medicine. He is the Medical Director of the Critical Care Resuscitation Unit, a high-acuity ICU that focuses on the transfer and resuscitation of time-sensitivie critical illness. He also serves at the Fellowship Director of the Emergency Medicine -- Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Shock Trauma and he created and directs the Extracorporeal Life Support Fellowship. Dr. Haase's clinical expertise is in bedside ultrasound and echocardiography, extracorporeal support (ECMO), pulmonary embolism and trauma critical care.
