Shyam Murali, MD, is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, working as an Emergency Traumatologist. He completed medical school at Texas A&M University, residency in emergency medicine at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, and a fellowship in trauma and surgical critical care at the University of Pennsylvania. His primary clinical and research interest centers in advancing the quality of care provided for critically injured patients. He is an active member of multiple national and international organizations including the Society for Critical Care Medicine, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
