Juliane Jablonski is a nurse leader within the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Healthsystem; a six-hospital, academic health system spanning eastern Pennsylvania to Southern New Jersey. Juliane has over 25 years of nursing experience, and has been employed by Penn Medicine for the past 17 years currently serving in a systems role as the Associate CNO for Nursing Professional Development. Past roles at Penn Medicine include Director of Critical Care Quality and Strategy, Critical Care Nursing Strategist, and Unit Based Clinical Nurse Specialist. In her roles Juliane has done extensive work in clinical implementation of evidence based practices, including the ICU ABCDEF Bundle, RN Driven protocols, clinical decision support systems, analytics, eICU collaboration, and innovative use of nudging and alerts. Examples of other interdisciplinary initiatives include the identification and management of sepsis, reducing sepsis readmissions, post cardiac arrest targeted temperature management, ICU sedation, nurisng titration, and mechanical ventilation. Juliane received her BSN at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She received her Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist Master’s degree from York College of Pennsylvania. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.
