Bob Newmyer (he/him/his) is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Critical Care at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and Critical Care Lead Physician, Emergency and Critical Care Ultrasound at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago (Lurie Children's). He completed a general pediatrics residency at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Newmyer co-authored an innovation grant for ultrasound education while a fellow at Pittsburgh while also co-founding the Ultrasound Club there. He currently teaches point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and recently took on the lead physician role for Lurie's critical care division, looking to introduce new equipment and formalize curricula and broaden application and capabilities.
