R. Scott Watson, MD, MPH is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Associate Division Head of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Seattle Children's Hospital, and a PI at the Center for Child Health, Behavior, and Development; Seattle Children's Research Institute. He conducts NIH-funded research on the long-term outcomes of critical illness in children. He served as a co-chair of SCCM's Pediatric Sepsis Definitions Task Force.
