This lecture will delve deeper into the common understanding of coagulation tests. Differences between standard coagulation tests (PT/PTT) and functional tests (TEG, ROTEM) will be discussed including: when to order which test, how to interpret tests, recognizing abnormal results, and reacting to abnormal results. Blood product replacement types will be broken down and discussed to optimize appropriate use of this precious supply.
