A few antiepileptic agents (AEDs) has recently added to the armamentarium to management of status epilepticus, especially when seizures are refractory to traditional agents. This session aims to provide a brief overview of status epilepticus, followed by review of the mechanism of action, safety and efficacy profile of the newer AEDs, and how they may fit in to management of status epilepticus.
