some of the initial literature brought significant concern to the vanc and pip/tazo combo for causing AKI. however, after more recent literature, it is suspected that this combo causing a rise in SCr is indeed not an AKI, but rather a physiological change to creatinine excretion. this session evaluates literature to shed light on true risk of vanc pip/tazo combo on development of AKI
