This session will identify, summarize, and appraise significant findings from the past year’s literature relevant to critical care practice and research.

Summarize the most up-to-date findings in the field of basic and translational science that have shown promise in advancing the understanding of pathophysiology of critically ill patients
Highlight recent findings in the field of clinical research or epidemiology that significantly impact public health
Present new evidence in the field of simulation that shows efficacy for improving patient care and trainee and patient education
