Implementation science is receiving considerable attention as an area of practice and research. Applying principles of implementation science to complex organizational environments such as critical care is challenging, but potentially very rewarding. Anne E. Sales, PhD, RN, will briefly review implementation research in critical care settings and discuss possible future directions for both research and practice.
