In some studies, sepsis bundles have demonstrated exceptional success; however, when uncoupled from the bundles, controversy exists surrounding certain aspects of the bundles. In this pro/con session, the data on each side of this controversy will be presented with an opportunity for attendees to share their verdict.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review the creation of sepsis bundles, including the addition of each component
  • Summarize the body of evidence on which aspects of the bundle have proven successful in adults and children and evaluate the entire bundle compliance success and failure
  • Discuss implementation of sepsis bundles as a performance measure for hospitals and clinicians
