Keena Patel, DNP, AGACNP-BC is a critical care nurse practitioner in the Medical Intesive Care Unit at Stanford Medical Center. She completed nursing training at The University of Texas Austin and UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. After experience in medical, surgical, and cardiovascular ICUs, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a specialty in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She started her NP career as an inaugural member of the APP (Advanced Practice Provider) team at Stanford's Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit. She has over 10 years of experience in critical care including years as a bedside RN. She is the former co-chair of the APP Wellness Program at Stanford and the current co-chair of the APP Shared Leadership Council at Stanford. She takes special interest in the professional growth and development of APPs, as well as, quality improvement and mentorship. She has been a member of SCCM for 8 years.
