Andrew Young, MD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of California - Los Angeles. He received his medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians & Surgeons, and completed his anesthesia residency and critical care fellowship at UCLA before joining the faculty. He splits his time between operative anesthesia and the surgical ICU, managing patients (including those supported by ECMO or VAD) before and after complex cardiothoracic procedures such as heart or lung transplantation.
