Mojdeh Heavner, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP, FCCM, FCCP, is an associate professor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy (UMSOP). She is the vice chair for clinical services in the Department of Practice, Sciences, and Health Outcomes Research and coordinator for the pharmacotherapy PGY1/2 combined residency program.
Mojdeh received a B.S. in Physiology & Neurobiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and Doctor of Pharmacy from UMSOP. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency and a combined PGY2 in critical care and solid organ transplant at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH). After training, she stayed at YNHH and worked as a MICU clinical specialist, supervisor of clinical pharmacy services, and director for the PGY2 critical care residency program. Mojdeh has been at UMSOP since 2016 and practiced for several years as a MICU clinical specialist at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She has also been an associate editor for the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy since 2019.
She is active in pharmacy and critical care professional organizations and holds several leadership roles. Mojdeh is the immediate past-chair of the Critical Care Practice and Research Network in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and in her third year as Member-at-Large of the Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacology Section of SCCM.
