Martin Ohlinger, PharmD, RPh, BCCCP, FCCM is Clinical Professor and Chair of the Pharmacy Practice Department at the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Ohlinger graduated from the College William and Mary in Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in biology; he earned his B.S. in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the Medical College of Virginia / Virginia Commonwealth University; and he then completed a Critical Care and Emergency Medicine Residency at Detroit Receiving Hospital. Dr. Ohlinger has practiced as a critical care pharmacy specialist since 1995, with a focus on surgical and trauma critical care. He was the first residency program director for the University of Toledo’s PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy residency, serving in that position for 22 years, until 2020. Dr. Ohlinger was inducted as a fellow in the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM) in 2013, and was named a Distinguished University Lecturer by the University of Toledo in 2019. Dr. Ohlinger currently resides in Toledo, OH with his wife Lisa, and enjoys visiting their four grown daughters.
