Tara M. Neumayr, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics with dual appointment in the Divisions of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Pediatric Nephrology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Her scholarly work is focused on acute kidney injury and acute renal replacement therapy in children, particularly children with cardiac disease and/or requiring mechanical circulatory support. She also has a deep interest in pediatric acute renal replacement therapy program development and quality improvement and was honored to be selected to participate in the 26th Acute Disease Quality Initiative workgroup, the first ADQI dedicated to pediatric patients, where her subgroup focused on knowledge gaps in pediatric acute renal replacement therapy delivery and program building. Her other professional commitments include the following: Interim Medical Director, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, St. Louis Children’s Hospital Heart Center; Medical Co-Director, Acute Kidney Replacement Therapies Program, St. Louis Children’s Hospital; PC4 Clinical Champion, St. Louis Children’s Hospital Heart Center; Associate Program Director, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship, Washington University School of Medicine;
and Program Director, Advanced Cardiac Critical Care Training Program, Washington University School of Medicine/St. Louis Children's Hospital Heart Center.
