Dr. Daniel LoVerde, DO is an attending physician and PRISMA Health Upstate and assistant professor of medicine in the division of pulmonary and critical care and department of internal medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Greenville. Dr. LoVerde completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and a dual fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Dr. LoVerde's clinical expertise is in medical and cardiac critical care as well as extracorporeal life support (ECLS) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Dr. LoVerde's research pursuits are in translational medicine and biomedical pharmacokinetics. He runs a laboratory at the PRISMA Health Institute for Translation Oncology Research, currently focusing on pharmakokinetics in membrane lung devices used in ECMO. Dr. LoVerde serves as faculty for both the internal medicine residency and pulmonary/critical care fellowship at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine/PRISMA Health and is the medical director for both the cardiovascular ICU and the ECMO program at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
