Sharmila Jai Kumar is a third-year pediatric critical care medicine fellow at Cohen Children's Medical Center of Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, New York. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University in Biological Sciences and her medical degree from the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. She completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Massachusetts Chan School of Medicine. Her current research interests include identifying cost effective and efficient solutions to alleviate burnout in critical care trainees, pediatric injury prevention, and simulation. She looks forward to meeting colleagues and sharing ideas for additional growth in these fields at the SCCM 2024 Congress. Her passions outside of medicine include cycling, tennis, horse-back riding, and cooking.
