David Zonies, MD, MPH, MBA, FACS, FCCM is a Professor of Surgery in the division of trauma, critical care, and acute care surgery in the OHSU School of Medicine. He is also the Associate Chief Medical Officer for OHSU Health System, where he oversees strategic, operational, quality, and safety practices for all critical care services. He is the founding director of the OHSU extracorporeal life support program. He is an active physician scientist studying translational critical care outcomes, tele-critical care, disaster care, advanced extracorporeal therapies, bioethics, and palliative care in the ICU. He is board certified in general surgery, surgical critical care, and hospice and palliative medicine.
