Diana W. Mulherin, PharmD, BCNSP, BCCCP, FCCM is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Nutrition Support at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina and a critical care PGY2 at the University of Tennessee and the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. She is board certified in Nutrition Support and Critical Care and a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine. Her research and practice interests include micronutrient deficiencies in critical illness, parenteral nutrition (PN) safety, safe transitions of PN care, and knowledge gaps for clinicians responsible for PN management. She is passionate about improving nutrition education for all ICU practitioners and co-founded the educational Instagram account "Consult Nutrition Support". She has spoken professionally and has authored numerous book chapters and journal articles on topics related to nutrition and critical care. She is actively involved in SCCM and the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and served as Chair of the Nutrient Shortages Subcommittee for ASPEN’s Clinical Practice Committee since 2020.
