Benjamin Hohlfelder, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP, is a Critical Care Pharmacy Clinical Specialist at the Cleveland Clinic. His clinical practice is centered in the cardiothoracic surgery ICU, including patients undergoing heart and lung transplant, ventricular assist device implantation, and extracorporeal life support. He completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. He is board certified in both Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care Pharmacy. Areas of research interest include anticoagulation practices in mechanical circulatory support, management of pain, agitation and delirium after cardiothoracic surgery, vasoactive medication utilization after cardiothoracic surgery, and treatment of venous thromboembolism.
