Dr. Bradley Fritz is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis, where he also serves as associate medical director for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. He obtained his medical degree and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation at Washington University. He then matriculated in the Academic Scholars Advancement Program at Washington University, through which he completed his anesthesiology residency, critical care medicine fellowship, and a T32 research fellowship. His research interests focus on the use of innovative tools such as telemedicine and predictive analytics to improve outcomes following surgery and critical illness. This includes the study of how the development and implementation of models predicting postoperative complications can impact clinician actions and patient outcomes. In addition, Dr. Fritz has a special interest in identifying and implementing treatments that can reduce the burden of mental health symptoms in patients experiencing surgery or critical illness.
