Physician Assistant, Cardiothoracic ICU
University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus
Alexis Keyworth is a Physician Assistant in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO where she has been practicing since early 2016. Prior to working in Colorado, she completed her PA training in 2010 at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C followed by a one-year post-graduate APP fellowship in critical care at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She remained at Johns Hopkins for several years working in the Medical ICU. Although she loves working in Cardiothoracic Critical Care, she credits Johns Hopkins with sparking in her a lifelong love for general medicine. Alexis has a passion for medical education and, in 2020, became the educational lead for the surgical critical care track within the APP Surgical/Critical Care Post-graduate Fellowship Program at the University of Colorado. She recently stepped into the Program Director role and looks forward to continuing to grow the one-year program that helps intensively train new-graduate and transition-in-practice APPs for a career in surgery and/or critical care medicine.
