Dr. Slampak-Cindric is a board certified critical care pharmacist and pharmacotherapy specialist at Geisinger Medical Center where she serves as Director of the PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program and Coordinator for critical care and emergency medicine. Dr. Slampak-Cindric received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, a Certificate in the Conceptual Foundations of Medicine, and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a teaching certificate from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Geisinger Medical Center. She serves on Geisinger’s continuing professional development committee and critical care medicine quality improvement committee. She is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and a member of the Society’s Education and Learning Strategies Committee, as well as the Advanced Pharmacotherapy in Critical Care Task Force. She also serves as an American Society for Health System Pharmacists Residency Accreditation Surveyor. Dr. Slampak-Cindric participates in the didactic and experiential education of student and resident pharmacists, physicians, advanced practitioners, and nurses. She is an Assistant Professor for the Geisinger Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology, a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy for the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, and an Associate Clinical Preceptor of Pharmacy and Therapeutics for the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and Wilkes University Nesbitt College of Pharmacy. Her professional interests include critical care, emergency medicine, anticoagulation, faculty development, experiential education, teaching, and fostering the development of healthcare professionals.
