Dr. Svetlana Herasevich is a Research Associate and an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, Mayo Clinic, Rochester. She is a member of the METRIC (Multidisciplinary Epidemiology and Translational Research in Intensive Care) Research Group, which is focused on systematic research and quality improvement initiatives to reduce complications and improve outcomes for critically ill patients.
Dr. Herasevich earned her M.D. degree in Belarus. She completed her Master's Degree in Clinical and Translational Science examining clinicians' needs that enable the prioritization of care among populations of acutely ill patients, and evaluating the impact of digital health strategies on the performance of ICU clinicians in October 2022. Dr. Herasevich is the author of 20 peer-reviewed publications. Her current research focuses on refining and evaluating digital health strategies that reliably stratify patients according to their need for priority attention from critical care clinicians. Another focus of her research interests is on evaluating post-transplant risk factors for acute respiratory distress syndrome development in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
Dr. Herasevich is a SCCM member and part of the team working on the AHRQ-funded projects.
