Resident Physician
Connecticut Childrens Medical Center
Sravya Gourishetti, DO is a third-year pediatrics resident at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. After growing up in New England, Dr. Gourishetti moved on to obtain her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and, subsequently, to complete medical school at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in North Carolina.
She began to cultivate her interest in advocacy during medical school, which blossomed in residency as she explored her passion for critical care. She worked to improve systemic practices to screen for Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and determine their impacts on patient outcomes. Dr. Gourishetti hopes to continue to develop her interest in research related to SDOH and their impact on patient care in the PICU and throughout the healthcare system. She will be starting as a first year Pediatric Critical Care fellow at the Mass General for Children in Boston, MA in July 2024.
