Dr. Peta Alexander is Associate Professor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, Staff Physician in the Department of Cardiology at Boston Children’s Hospital. As the Cardiac ECMO Director, she maintains a focus on optimizing potential circulatory support strategies for patients with congenital and acquired heart disease. She strives for program-wide excellence in inter-disciplinary, goal-concordant, family-centered care. Dr. Alexander is the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of ELSO, past Co-Chair of PediECMO, a collaborative research network between ELSO and PALISI, and Co-PI for Pediatric ECMO Anticoagulation CollaborativE (PEACE) and ECMO-CENTRAL (Core Elements Needed for Trials, Regulatory processes and Quality of Life). She is Co-Trial Chair of the Clinical Coordinating Center of the U.S. Department of Defense funded Trial of Indication-based Transfusion of Red blood cells in ECMO (TITRE).
