Shannon Gaasch is a senior NP at University of Maryland Medical Center's R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. She has been working at UMMC for 13 years and has been working as a NP in the Multi-trauma Critical Care unit, Neurotrauma Critical Care Unit and Critical Care Resuscitation Unit for the last 8 years. Shannon is one of the co-coordinators of the UMMC NP Critical Care Fellowship and has a passion for education and mentorship of the novice APP. She helps coordinate and teach other interdisciplinary educational opportunities within the institution such as the Core Concepts of ECMO Course, FCCS and Critical Care Novice APP Bootcamp. When she's not at work she is kept busy with her 4 year old son and 18 month old daughter.
