(Jess) Jia Xin Huang, MD is currently a third-year fellow in a pediatric critical care training program at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Huang obtained a degree in Physics from the City University of New York (CUNY) Brooklyn and graduated from medical school at the University of Vermont. She completed her pediatric residency at University of California, Davis, where her interest in clinical research started and led her to pursue a career in pediatric criticlal care. Her research in residency focused on acute kidney injury (AKI) in children with diabetes and during fellowship, transitioned to focus her research on AKI in the broader critically ill population and the relationship between social determinants of health and health outcomes. Dr. Huang was awarded a Pediatric Critical Care NIH T32 grant and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Research at UCSF.
