Matthew MacDougall, MD, MPH is currently a 3rd-year Fellow in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at University of Rochester Medical Center's Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester, NY. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at SUNY Geneseo, and went on to receive a Masters in Public Health through the combined program at Upstate Medical University and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. During that time he served a two year appointment as a Lerner Fellow at the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion. He completed medical school at Upstate Medical University thereafter. Matthew completed his Pediatric and Chief Residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. His clinical interests include pediatric critical care medicine and child abuse pediatrics, and his research focuses describing the interplay between implicit bias and patient referral to child protective services.
