Omar Badawi, PharmD, MPH, FCCM has expertise in clinical product innovation by leveraging research from real world data. He recently led the design of a national system for active surveillance of medical devices for post-market safety signals at the National Evaluation System for Health Technology Coordinating Center. He also spent over a decade leading research for developing product-related predictive algorithms and decision support tools for tele-critical care systems and helped launch and manage the Philips eICU Research Institute which supported collaborative research between industry, academia and clinicians. Dr. Badawi is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and Research Affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He earned a Master in Public Health degree with a focus in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is also a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
