Ruth Kurtycz, PhD is a post-doctoral public health informatics fellow with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) positioned at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). They are leading the statistical analysis to identify promising treatments for diseases with inadequate therapy using deidentified EHR data. Prior to the fellowship, Ruth was a Senior Biostatistician at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) where they led the statistical evaluation of a multi-state, high-visibility, care management program. Ruth earned a doctorate in Interdisciplinary Health Science with a focus in Biostatistics from Western Michigan University. They also hold a masters in Biostatistics from Grand Valley State University.
