Dr. Wratney's areas of interests include simulation-based education, interprofessional education, facilitation skills, coaching, debriefing and promoting education and leadership among the pipeline of trainees entering pediatrics and/or pediatric critical care medicine. She has built her academic career in patient safety, systems science, and interprofessional education for all trainees in the pipeline of healthcare.
She attended Cornell University 1990-1994; Penn State College of Medicine 1994-1996 and Emory University School of Medicine 1996-1998
University of California San Francisco Pediatric Residency 1998-2001; Duke University Medical Center Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship 2001-2005; Duke University Masters of Health Science in 2005. She was an attending in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Children's National Medical Center 2005-2018 and now is Chief of Pediatric Critical Care at the Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital and SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse NY.
