Dr. Oscar Guzman received his pharmacy degree from the University of Florida and post-doctoral training in Critical Care Pharmacy at Indiana University Health. Following his residency, he practiced at several US hospitals. He has served as adjunct faculty at Butler University, Purdue University, New York Medical College, and the University of Houston. Dr. Guzman then worked as Clinical Director of Infectious Diseases and Critical Care with Cardinal Health where he was responsible for developing comprehensive antimicrobial stewardship programs in hospitals across the US and Puerto Rico.
Dr. Guzman first joined T2Biosystems in 2018 as a Medical Science Liaison for the European Union. During this period, he successfully oversaw the implementation of T2MR technology at multiple sites and helped to facilitate several investigator initiated T2Bacteria studies and publications. In his current role, Dr. Guzman serves as the Vice President of Medical Affairs and provides the organization with medical insight, guidance, strategy, medical review, and training.
