Paul is the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services and Program Director of the postgraduate year 2 critical care pharmacy residency at Brigham and Women¹s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He is dual board certified in pharmacotherapy and critical care pharmacy and is a fellow in the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy. Paul has helped develop and is responsible for managing clinical programs aimed at optimizing pharmacotherapy and improving patient outcomes. He has an active role in clinical practice, education, clinical research, and guideline development/implementation on the topics of ICU pain, agitation and delirium. He has more than 80 peer-reviewed publications, and he has served on/currently serves on several committees focused on improving clinical practice at the local, regional, and national level, including the 2018 Society of Critical Care Medicine guidelines for the management of pain, agitation, delirium, immobility and sleep disruption.
