Dr. Swati Chandhoke, MD, FAAP is a third-year Pediatric Critical Care Fellow at Emory University School of Medicine, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Chandhoke graduated from medical school at Stony Brook School of Medicine in New York with a Scholarly Research Concentration in Global Health. She was awarded the International Research Fellowship for her project in Izmir, Turkey. She completed her Pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, New York. During her fellowship, she was selected for the Health Equity, Advocacy, and Policy Track at Emory University. Her research interests are social determinants of health, developing social needs screening, and addressing healthcare disparities related to ECMO and ICU outcomes. She was awarded the Emory Warshaw Fellow Research Grant for her work. She is the current Fellow District Representative for AAP District X. She is an active member of the PALISI Social Determinants of Health Subgroup, AAP Section on Critical Care Advocacy Subgroup, and the AAP Firearm Special Interest Group. Her academic interests include DEI, child health advocacy, and legislative policy. She will serve as a Legislative Fellow for Representative Dr. Michelle Au in Georgia House District 50 this legislative session.
