Dr. Alice Shanklin is in her third year of pediatric critical care fellowship at Children's National Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, followed by completing her pediatric residency at Children's National Hospital. Dr. Shanklin is interested in data science, bronchiolitis, and sedation. During her fellowship, she has contributed to multiple research projects and co-authored a textbook chapter in the field.
In addition to her academic endeavors, Dr. Shanklin is committed to medical education. She co-hosts the popular medical education podcast, PedsCrit, with Zac Hodges, a pediatric critical care fellow at UT Southwestern in Dallas. The podcast has amassed over 100,000 downloads to date, and episodes have been used as a formal educational resource in several centers.
