A. Shaun Rowe, Pharm.D., M.S, BCCCP, FNCS, FCCP is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy, Knoxville Campus. His practice is in the area of Neurocritical Care at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Dr. Rowe has practiced in Trauma or Neurocritical Care since 2004.
Dr. Rowe received a Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from Campbell University School of Pharmacy in 2003 and Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2018. He completed an ASHP – accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in 2004. In 2005 he received Board Certification from The Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist, and in 2016, he received Board Certification in Critical Care Pharmacy. In 2016, the Neurocritical Care Society awarded Dr. Rowe the Fellow of Neurocritical Care designation, and in 2021 he was designed a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Dr. Rowe is active in several professional organizations including American Society of Health System Pharmacists, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, Neurocritical Care Society, and Tennessee Pharmacist Association / Tennessee Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Notably, Dr. Rowe has served in several officer positions at the local, state, and national level. Dr. Rowe has given multiple national presentations, and he has authored several peer reviewed publications and book chapters pertaining to the care of critically ill patients with acute neurological conditions.
Dr. Rowe’s research interests include population health, hematologic dysfunction secondary to neurologic injury, neurologic trauma, ischemic stroke, and interprofessional education.
