Beth Wathen MSN RN CCRN-K is the Codes Program Coordinator at Children's Hospital Colorado. She is a pediatric nurse with more than 35 years of experience in varied leadership roles. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University and a master’s degree as a nurse practitioner from the University of Utah. At the national level, Beth served on the Steering Committee for Children’s Hospital Association’s Improving Pediatric Sepsis Outcomes Collaborative. Beth has also served in a number of leadership roles for the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She was the chair for AACN’s National Teaching Institute’s Annual conference planning committee in 2015. She served as a director on AACN’s Board of Directors for 3 years, followed by a one year term as president-elect and a one year term as president of AACN.
