Emory University Hospital
Ofer Sadan, MD, PhD, a neurointesivist and an assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine (Atlanta, GA).
I obtained both my MD and later my PhD in neurosciences at Tel-Aviv University, Israel. Following my time in the lab, I returned to the clinical side and completed my neurology residency at the Tel-Aviv Medical Center, Israel. My post-residency training included a fellowship in neurocritical care and later a second fellowship in critical care/anesthesia, both at Emory University.
Currently I'm working as a clinical neurointensivist and a clinical and translational researcher, focused on Neurology, Neurosurgery, Critical Care and mainly on the fine borders between them. My main research focus is on detection, prevention and treatement of secondary injuries in critically ill patients. That includes, for example, optimizing cerebral blood flow and perfusion in the settings of cerebral vasospasm and the prevention of delayed cerebral ischemia.
