Lauren Reightler, OTD, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist who specializes in critical care rehabilitation across the continuum of care. She completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Ithaca College and continued her studies at Baylor University where she earned her clinical doctorate. She practices in the acute care setting and has spent the majority of her career in a medical-surgical intensive care unit. She co-founded an outpatient post-ICU clinic and serves as the lead occupational therapist. She has been published in the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s Critical Care Medicine, the American Physical Therapy Association’s GeriNotes, and the American Occupational Therapy Association's OT Practice. Her current research focuses on delirium identification and management in the acute care setting, the role of in-hospital delirium on post-acute rehabilitation outcomes, and the role of occupational therapy for ICU survivors.
