Darla Fink, MD is a 2nd year in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is board certified in pediatrics and completed pediatric residency at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH in 2022. She graduated from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in 2019 and graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2014, where she received a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. During her gap year between college and medical school, she worked as a float pool front desk receptionist at several physician offices. Following completion of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine fellowship, she intends to further her training by enrolling in anesthesiology residency to become dual trained in pediatric critical care and pediatric anesthesiology. Her fascination with the resilience of children facing sepsis has driven her research and the supportive mentorship of Dr. Kate Kernan and Dr. Joe Carcillo has allowed her to delve into the intersection of sepsis and postoperative care. Darla's hometown is Williamsport, PA, the home of the Little League World Series (her first job) and her interests include yoga, running, and being an avid Taylor Swift fan.
