Zach Smith practices at Henry Ford Hospital where he is a clinical pharmacy specialist in medical critical care and pulmonary hypertension, PGY2 critical care residency program director, and serves as an adjunct clinical professor at Wayne State University. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Wayne State University and completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Henry Ford Hospital and a PGY2 residency in critical care at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He is currently board certified in Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care and is recognized as a Fellow in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.

He serves as a corresponding editor for the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy and is actively involved in leadership roles within ACCP, SCCM, and ASHP.
