Mindy Dickerman, MD, FAAP, FAAHPM is currently the Director of Education for the Division of Critical Care Medicine and and an Attending Physician in the Division of Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Nemours Children's Health (NCH) in Deleware. She has practiced as a pediatric critical care physician and a pediatric palliative care physician since completing training in 2009. She is the current vice chair of SCCM’s Pediatric Palliative Care sub-committee. She is a Senior Vital Talk Faculty Member and is trained in the Interprofessional Spiritual Education Curriculum, currently leading these programs for clinicians at her institution, regionally and nationally. She currently serves as the Co-Chair for her institution’s Ethics and Patient Rights Committee. She has developed and implemented curriculum and standardized processes to incorporate palliative care in the pediatric intensive care unit, specifically surrounding communicating with families and end of life care.
