Emily Ernest, MD is a third year Categorical Pediatrics resident at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH. She earned her MD in 2021 from West Virginia University School of Medicine, where she also completed her undergraduate degree with highest honors in Exercise Physiology in 2017. She has published multiple papers in translational research related biofilms in prosethic joint infection, but since discovering her calling in Pediatric Critical Care, under the mentorship of Dr. Jennifer Muszynski and Dr. Katherine Bline, her interest has evolved to include pediatric septic shock, immunology, palliative care, and medical education. Post-residency, Emily is excited to serve as Chief Resident for Nationwide Children's Hospital for 2024-2025. She is looking forward to pursuing Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship in the Fall of 2024.
