Dr. Rebecca McClay, DNP, MS, ACNPC-AG, CCRN-CMC-CSC, NPD-BC, is the Program Director for the Midland Memorial Hospital Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program. She practices clinically in the mixed critical care unit, where she is part of the intensivist team. Her focus on staff member credentialing to provide improved levels of care in critical care and progressive care units has led to having over 60 credentialed staff within a three-year period. Her strong clinical background and high level of clinical and administrative acumen have allowed her to become the Quality Improvement Champion for the group. Dr. McClay received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) in Adult/Gerontology Acute Care from the University of Arizona and has remained active in research and project development, with several peer-reviewed publications and two textbooks to her credit. Her research focuses on improving the bedside experience by supporting and implementing Healthy Work Environment Standards. She is actively involved in the SCCM at the state and national levels. Within the Texas Chapter of the SCCM, she is a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Annual Symposium and Nomination Committees.
