Dr. Mallat is certified by the French Board of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, with additional subspecialty certification in Critical Care Medicine. He was also appointed as a Professor of Medicine in Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, USA. He has also a Master Degree in Methodology, Statistics, and Research from the University of Paris-Sud, Paris, France, and a PhD from the University of Caen Normandy, France. Dr. Mallat is the Middle East Representative of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine.
Dr. Mallat has made as significant contributions to research into critical care medicine, in areas including circulatory failure and its management, heart-lung interactions and issues related to mechanical ventilation. He has been published extensively in peer-reviewed journals (more than 105 articles to date) and he sits on the editorial boards of several journals.
