No ICU patient is the same as the next one, especially when it comes to pressure relief and preventing tissue injuries. Our ICU patients have more co-morbidities and obesity and many have immunosuppression medications that may increase pressure defects. This presentation will describe prevention strategies, from ICU liberation, physical therapy, ICU pressure relief, and specialized mattresses for high risk patients. ICU prevention protocols will be highlighted.
