This pro/con session will address leadership strategies and explore opportunities for either escalation or de-escalation of leadership roles. Speakers will debate current leadership structures and whether adding leader roles versus streamlining leader roles is appropriate.

Learning Objectives:

Argue the importance of a solid leadership structure to support staff
Propose a rationale for value added through robust leadership and that having many minds leads to improved healthcare
Argue for strategies for de-escalating leadership structure with a focus on healthcare budgets
Identify opportunities for evaluating current leadership models with the goal of reducing excessive leadership
