As technology and ECMO expertise evolves, so too has the ability to support longer and longer ECMO runs. From removal of ECMO support at 14 days if unable to separate from ECMO support, to children spending greater than a year on ECMO support, this session will discuss how clinicians approach the decision to discontinue ECMO support.
